About Gene
Gene Haas was born in Spring Green, Wisconsin in 1934, in the shadows of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesen. His family moved to Milwaukee during World War II. After serving in the Korean War he worked briefly at Harnischfeger, then O’Neil Duro and was Vice President of Chesal Industries. At the same time, his interest in athletics, and his extensive experience in golf administration with the Wisconsin Public Links Association paved the way for him becoming the Executive Director of the Wisconsin State Golf Association. He led that organization for approximately 25 years. Throughout his life he honed his natural drawing skills and developed a real affinity for caricatures. Over the years he has created thousands of caricatures of the famous and not so famous. This website is a collecdtion of just a few of those images.
